Personally, I believe that businesses like the concept of fees and adders, because to a degree, it shields people from easy access to the total of what they're spending. Their theory is that people's money will flow more easily because of it. That's why credit cards are so popular. Your wallet never seems to get any thinner. Politicians have used the same technique for eons when it comes to taxes.
I have no issues with businesses charging what's necessary to make a decent profit and maintain their infrastructure. If they tell me to my face what something costs, I can decide to spend the money and feel like it was my decision.....not like someone has their hands in my pockets.
