I am aware of the following NCO cars surviving:
Two Coaches (numbers 4 &6) were sold in 1916 to White Pass & Yukon Route where they became #234 and 236. WP&YR #236 was orignally SPC #66 built by Harlan & Hollingsworth in 1887 and sold to NCO in 1909.
Body of NCO combine #12 is listed at Nevada County Narrow Gauge RR Museum.
The body of mail-express #22 (which may have began as combine #4 back in 1891) recently was moved from Wendell, California to a railroad musuem in Alturas.
Bodies of several of the passenger cars purchased in 1915 from the F&CC exist. Coach #52 is at Nevada State Railroad Museum. Coach #56 is at Nevada County Narrow Gauge RR Museum. I recently heard that one of the baggage-mail cars was recently moved to a location north of Reno.
Complete NCO stock car #159 is now at Orange Empire Railway Museum, Perris, California. This car was later used on the SP Mina to Keller run as #65 and then later as #173. This car was built in Reno during 1912.
The group at Nevada City, California, has restored a F&CC box car that had operated on the NCO and then the NCNG.
