Before I moved to Durango I worked with a guy who had retired as a machinist for Canadian National. When he started out, steam had only been phased out for a couple of years so he worked with quite a few guys who were steam mechanics. One evening when he came in for his shift, his foreman instructed him to go outside and weld the bell onto so-and-so engine. He thought this to be an odd request since they didn't normally need to weld bells to anything, and he didn't recognize the number series on the engine. He walked outside to find and was surprised to look up and see a steam engine, which turned out to be the 6060.
