I saw no photos of this little operation at the Henderson Field museum when I was there 4 years ago. Also, the airport grounds were pretty much off limits when I asked to look around. Just about anywhere else on the Canal was doable along with Tulagi, Gavutu and Tanambogo which I also visited.
My understanding from talking with Aussie historians agrees with what little was written in the article...it was a short lived construction ry. built to transfer supplies off the beach.
