Both locos are now gone. Stories claim the 4700N was scrapped in the early 1970s after bing used as a gunnery target. The 3000 went to White Pass & Yukon as a switcher, was sold to a banana railroad in Guatamala and reported scrapped in the early 2000s.
Multi-gauge locomotives are either built as narrow gauge (36", meter, 42") or standard-broad gauge (56-1/2", 60", 63", 66"). The engines at the Sierra are standard to broad gauges.
