Maine Narrow Gauge is model railroading with the scale set at 12 inches = 1 foot.
The other thing it does is to give homes to some of those Brookville gas and Diesel engines that were used in the steel industry. If not for Maine 2 foot museums, there would not be such a fun place to run critters.
Where else can you find a railroad engine that weighs 1500 pounds as does the WW&F 51 at Alma.
A couple have even made their way to Phillips from the far off Pine Creek Railroad in New Jersey. Some fun!
