In reading the 2002 guide to tourist railroads the D&S lists the 498 & 493 as two of the locomotives on their roster.
I know they are not operable and from comments on this board that the D&S is not interested in operating them.
With the motive power needs of the D&S, is there a reason other than the age of the K-37 boilers that they do not like or want to restore the 498 and 493?
