I overamp on this because I get relentlessly bombarded with propaganda from my many right-wing friends . I didn't see your humor ,and you are basically right . News organizations of networks are interested in lowest common denominator television so they can keep their big corporate advertisers . They are mawkishly populist when it makes great copy .
I have visited only three real American shrines in my life .One was little Round Top at Gettysburg , where the Maine Volunteers saved our mighty republic , the Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor ,where America was reluctantly forced to fight the most righeous battle of all time , and Ludlow Memorial , where the struggle between working people and corporations was joined .The struggle for labor rights in the early Twentieth Century is as important to me, as an American, as the titanic stuggle for civil rights in the 1960s . I get real emotional about this because I don't want the lessons of Ludlow be lost on modern Americans .
