I was recently visiting a mine site in s. AZ that is currently being remediated and saw two automobile bodies from the 1930s that had been pulled from a tailings pile. I find it entirely possible that there is narrow gauge equipment buried in mine tailings piles in that region (such as Morenci). I've seen cattle guards and fence posts in the are made from some pretty light rail. I wouldn't be surprised if some day I find an old tender tank or boxcar body tucked away on a ranch.
