Phil:
I am home and looked up the rosters.
#158 to 165 were Class 45 1/2 built in 1882
They were 4-6-0, 14x20 Cyl 45" drivers, 53400# with a TE of 10500#. All were scrapped in 1916 and therefore never reclassified to the T-series. They would have been theoretically T-11's. Three, 158,159 and 165 went to the RGS as 22 (First) 23, and 24. They were also scrapped in 1916. As far as I know they were all straight boilered.
The second batch were built in 1883 and were the T-12's that you refer to as the wagon top boilered batch. They were 4-6-0 14x20 Cyl, 45" drivers, 56,550#, 11590 TE. They were numbered 166 to 177. 170-3, 176,7 were scrapped in 1926. 166,7 were scrapped in 1934, 174,5 were scrapped in 1937 and the 168,9 preserved.
