Will the railfan weekend be open to the general public or do we have to go through the convention? I am trying to decide if I want to do it this year since it's "local."
Maybe I can convince the Mrs. to get season passes again this year. We used to camp over near Grandfather Mountain until the campground got destroyed by that hurricane (it's bad when you can't recall their names since there are so many of them. Maybe was it Katrina that rained so much in the mountains?) I figure they have to have gotten that campground fixed by now.
The last time we were up there was Ghost Train on the last day of the season and it snowed, lightly. Ah, steam in the snow.
