Steffen;
Can't tell you about the speeder you mentioned in your post. Orange Empire Railway Museum does has a small Fairmont 4hp RGS speeder. Built in 1930, it does not have any canopy or enclosure to protect the operator from the elements. Came from Mr. Middleton (at Knott's) and has been stored inside most of the time at OERM. The RGS speeder's metal frame is painted, but no number or any markings indicating ownership are visible. I've never done any color matching, but the paint looks similar to the safety orange that many western roads used for such MOW equipment. The speeder is on display in Grizzly Flats, along with the Museum's three-foot gauge collection.
Thanks, Bill B.
