What's not to like? For my part, I'm not a fan of the outside frame look (especially not also with outside counterweights). Overall, I see the bigger K classes as short and fat, complete with a bit of waddling as they roll along the line. They're hard workers, not beauty queens! I find the EBT mikes easier on the eyes. I'm not a fan of 1920's designs in general though; my own sense of asthetics prefers the 1870 through 1890 era. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, of course, so each to his own.
Though the K-36's could be worse....they could have the pumps hanging on the smokebox or something crazy like that.
As noted, I actually do like the dome pinstriping as applied for the movie paint; it suits the rounded domes well.
