Matt;
Your inquiry about the order board colors made me
think of Bill and Mamie Fletcher who never missed
one of the special runs the last few years of the NG.
On one trip Mamie showed up wearing ear rings made
like minature lanterns. The firsr day the lantern globes were red. She said " Any railroader knows
what red means." The second day the globes were Yellow and the third day they were Green. Again
Mamie stated that any railroader knew what green
meant.
