I went to a couple of Winter Spectaculars 25-30 years ago. The first one was in 1973. If I remember correctly, that was the time--or maybe one of the times--when it was down around zero. Boy, it was cold standing around waiting to take pictures! But well worth it. Your description brings it all back vividly. Thanks!
