The only annunciators I know about was the one at Monero, which was located about a mile or so east of the east switch at Monero, and the one just west of Big Horn. Postings by Jimmy Blouch show No. 216 consistently passing this annunciator 5 minutes after the scheduled departure time from Monero. The annunciator at Big Horn was located about a mile west of Big Horn at MP 300.5. The annunciator was Big Horn was very useful, particularly in winter, as there were no open stations between Cumbres and Antonito after about 1920, and when an eastbound freight rang the bell, the dispatched knew that the train had essentially made it safely off the mountain.
