Just a note about the "original materials"...
The
Edna is an important compnent of our company's "Adventures in Education" program. Many local school children are given tours of the
Edna and
Durango as part of the "Western Expansion" school tour package. While some tour guides give better information than others, the education department has been relatively careful to keep their information accurate. Preserving a board showing the original materials was designed to be a "hands on" exhibit for these tours.
Unfortunately the materials are quite fragile and the sample board began to deteriorate, so it has been repaired and as Jeff mentioned, is now available for those fortunate enough to get a roundhouse tour.
Similarly, as many of the original stained-glass pains that survived are also stored at the roundhouse.
