Ok now for the bedroom photos of the EDNA.
We will continue where I left off.
There is one bed with storage racks overhead, and two large drawers under the bed. Note the electric light bulb on the ceiling, I will elaborate on it later.
Turning around we see the other side of the room with a toilet, sink, entry door with a closet behind.
A closer view of the wash area. Again note the light bulb above.
Back in the hallway headed for the kitchen you will find this door. With beautiful etched glass.
Moving through the door and turning the corner we find a wash bin, and the bell and dials for the
electric signal system.
That's right I said electric signal system. This system was to signal the servant to the correct room. There are four door bell looking buttons in the car. When you push one of the buttons a needle will rise and point to the number for the room the button is in, and the bell will ring. There are only four buttons and they only raise the arrows for 1,2,5,and 6. I don't know what happen to 3,and 4.
There is two small dry cell batteries that power this system, as well as the two lights in the bedroom, and one additional light in the small lavatory. The system still work as described. The "oil lamps" and markers(if used) would be powered by train power from the loco.
This signal system is one the little known luxury items in the EDNA.
Another view of the wash bin.
