More about Menudo. Catholic Churches in the southwest (El Paso) used to include menudo in their Sunday morning breakfasts. It's made from tripe and is supposed to be a hangover cure. Hungover churchgoers (condition is being crudo) swear by it. In fact it's been called breakfast of champions. It is truly awful and would gag a maggot. It is repulsive enough that it should instantly cure a hangover, replacing the headache with an upset stomach. Supposedly the tripe absorbs the remnants of the previous nights binges. I would rather stick to aspirin.
