-The Left Main Rod was bent so that the 223 would not roll off the short section of track that it was placed upon.

-The Loose Parts and Cab fixtures were given to a Local Railfan when the 223 was moved from Salt Lake City's Liberty park to the Utah State Historical Society's Offices in the former Rio Grande Depot in Salt Lake City for safe keeping!!!!
Offers have been made by the person and turned down, and since the agreement was made with the Utah State Historical Society it should be investigated and proscuted by the Utah State Atternoy Generals Office if they can find time (Probably won't as not enough positive PR), and should be a Major Crime of Theft as the value olf the missing Items on the open market is around $10,000 to 15,000 dollars.
Anyone having purchased any of these items could be considered Recievers of Stolen Property across State Lines if the case should come to the Courts..

-The decision on the Left Main Rod as to a new one or Heating and straightening it will come after the Tender completed and the frame and running gear are moved into the shop, and the parts removed and inspected.
Kelly can best comment on what the elements of the decsion as to whether straightnening or a new rod are.
a Magnaflux and Ultra-sound would be our best start to check for any internal damage, and go from there.
Advise please Kelly, between Heber Veterans
