Russo, thanks for the sympathy. Altogether, I have around 60,000 B&W negs, most of which are mine but others are my father's from WWII in France (trains included) and his college pics in 1928/29. A number of RR negs which the late Ted Wurm sold me, go back to the early 20th century and the late 19th century.
This doesn't count color slides which start with Dad's in 1947 and include railroads such as the V&T. About 1/3 of my B&W negs are railroad related; same for the slides, including some European railroads, both ng & std. ga. All of my slides from 1968 to 1994 are 6x6 cm.
Maybe I should stop all activities and spend the rest of my life (I'm 73) just scanning . . . . .
