This is really a win win situation. I need to clean out my closet and I was going to donate something to the fund anyway, so basically it costs me nothing. But it also helps focus some continuing attention on the Lobato situation in particular, and the C&TS's financial needs in general. As sort of a general, pollyanna, long term kind of dream, I'd like to see more of the C&TS' financial support come from revenue and the private sector and less from the government. Although in the Lobato situation it is sure handy to have a state government that cares.
