Re: Gene Autry's other engine 1629 and 463s stall mate ?

Being one of few members who witnessed the recovery of 463 from Melody Ranch. I thought it would be appropriate to ask an individual who had witnessed the condition of 463 in 1972 and someone that may have knowledge on the cause of Melody Ranch Fire.

My questions are as followed:

What was the cause of the fire at Melody Ranch?

What was the condition of 463 when you arrived to retrieve her?
