The 168 had a "Russian Iron" jacket as nearly as I could determine. Russian Iron was a chemically treated planished iron. It could be a variety of colors from fairly dark blue not unlike treated stove pipe all the way through greens to tans. As it was rubbed it became lighter and lighter and could end up looking almost mirror silvery. I picked this shade of blue because it looked to me like a dark blue that had been frequently polished and reflected the blue of the Colorado sky.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
I also think its an attractive color
