I'm with you on the green paint job after the cupola is removed. I just wonder if the car was ever green with the 215 number on the car right before the number switch. I have the Colo RR annual you speak of with this info - its a great book. I'm wondering if someone must have seen the car finished with the 215 number on it when they realized they could switch numbers and send out the shorter car to Mexico. I'm thinking The 215 must have been finished if they originally were going to sell it before the renumbering swap.
