Smitty,
Colorado Rail Annual #9 was first printed in 1971. It had four articles entitled "Galloping Geese on the Rio Grande Southern, Tin Feathers and Gasoline Fumes". Prospector: The Judges Train, A Tribute to Fred Jukes, and Track of the CATS: A Tourist Excursion Railroad Over Cumbres. It has been reprinted, last printing in 1999. This printing had six new pages, mostly about No.7. I'm in one of these pages. Between these two hard bound Geese books a soft bound book was printed This soft bound had the same content as the original Annual No. 9.These books are out of print. There is a 26 minute DVD produced by Richard Luckin entitled Tin Feathers and Gasoline Fumes that is sold through the CRRM for $13.95 and is well worth the price. It includes some movie footage of the Geese running on the RGS. Order through the CRRM. The author of the Goose article in No.9, Stan Rhine, Is working on a new book "Tin Feathers and Gasoline Fumes. This is scheduled for next year and contains a lot of recently unearthered information on the Geese with new photos. It will be a Museum publication. Size of the book and price is unknown at this date. I was allowed to see the first draft of this proposed book and it will be a great addition to any Goose fan's library.
