I opted to run #18 all weekend (too many officals hovering over the PV Specials). We ran ahead of the westbound PV trains. Here the first section arrives in Alamosa...
...and the second section.
All that stainless steel made a great "glint shot"
Over in La Veta the next day, #18 in in the siding as an westbound extra freight heads for Alamosa. Ahead of 18 are the Amtrak engines that handled the train from Albuquerque....

I got pics of all the cars, but I will save them for another time. Here is a shot of the Virginia City.
