Been away from this forum for a while...

When I took the Engineer class last October I had the seat for the westbound Lobato part of the ride. In our consist we had 6-7 empty freight cars plus caboose. When we got to the bridge westbound Jeremy had me release the brakes, crack the throttle and kick the J-bar fully forward just as we got to the bridge. (I got an attaboy from Ronnie!) So it appears that what Earl stated he did was still in practice.

So - what's the latest on the bridge?

Dan

Just found the HDR report and pic's at the Goat. So $2 million to repair. How's that compare to the cost of complete replacement?
