Boy....that video (8mm transfer) brought back some sweet memories.

I WAS THERE!

Yep, my folks had moved to St. Paul and I was born and grew up in a nice neighborhood in south Chicago. My folks bought me a ticket for my birthday, and I went back to stay in Chicago with my boyhood friend, "Tommy" and attend the Chicago Railroad Fair.

I was just 13 years old, but even then a die hard RR buff.

The most wonderful thing about the RR Fair, was that all those old engines now gathering dust, were there...RUNNING.

Ah....memories.
