I like the information about the Crested Butte increase causing a switch engine to be left in Gunnison. What this totally assigned to the Crested Butte trains or was it literally an engine that was left up there, because it wasn't done before. I was always under the impression that Gunnison was a busy place on the narrow gauge anyway.
I also think that the stock movements are interesting. It's really interesting to think that in 1940 this was something that was keeping a lot of business on the D&RGW. Wonder why it was so busy?
