This is a set of comparison shots taken just a few hundred feet east of the previous pair pf photos. The "Then" shot comes courtesy of Ron Grau and shows a stock train that wrecked sometime in the 1920's or 1930's. The "Now" shot dates to June 19, 2010. From the evidence still on site it appears that at least 2 cars were wrecked beyond repair and were burned on site to recover their metal. My wife scoured the area below the wreck and found a handful of screws and nails as well as a piece of wood with red oxide paint still clinging to it.
