At Rockwood on Sunday, I ran into Chase and Cody. I had met them and Mark during an August 2007 trip to Colorado, which was described in the
How many Texans does it take to stop a C&TS Train? thread.
We were busy discussing some interesting sights in the Rockwood yard when we interrupted by a loud bang...here's a picture showing Cody and Chase next to the cause of the noise:
Anyway, I don't know how many Texans it takes to rerail the Goose -- the Goose crew had finished the job before any of us could offer to pitch in! According to the time stamps on my pictures, the Goose crew had finished rerailing the Goose 9 minutes after I snapped my first picture of the derailment. It probably took us no more than a minute or two from when we heard the bang to when I snapped the first photo... so I figure the whole rerailing operation only took 11 minutes, at most.
