Since Ede Biro mentioned it in a post under the thread name "Color Photos of D&RGW Durango Yards, July 1960", here is the link to the West Side Lumber Co. photos:
[
www.pacificng.com]
They are files in Adobe Acrobat pdf format, complete with the story of my first contact with the narrow gauge West Side (and, for that matter, ANY narrow gauge railroad). Because of Yahoo!'s uploading size limitations when I wrote this a year ago, the story with photos consists of seven Sections and three Parts. Part One has the first two Sections in it; Part Two has the next four Sections, and Part Three has one Section in it.
Part One contains two Sections with the photos and story of my one-person walk through the Tuolumne yards and shops for the very first time on 5/10/1959; Part Two contains four Sections with the photos and story of my subsequent visit a month later (6/15/1959) to see it all in operation; and Part Three just has one Section in it with the photos and story of my May 2009 visit to what little remained.
For Part One, my girlfriend (now my wife of 50 years) was with me but stayed in the car. For Part Two, she was with me the whole time. For Part Three, it was just me on a short visit.
Hope you enjoy it!
Best regards, Hart Corbett
