Street Running on the MolliBahn

Back from two weeks on tour opening for Keb' Mo' in Europe, and happy to report I managed to work in steam trains on both of my off days! I'll start today with the narrow gauge MolliBahn, which runs between Bad Doberan and the Baltic Sea resort of Kuhlungsborn in Germany. It's not a particularly long journey, but it does include an especially photogenic section of street running in Bad Doberan that kept me quite challenged and entertained. Thanks to Michael Allen for his detailed recollections and advice from his own visits, which helped me make the most of my limited time there. Happy to pay it forward and share info for anyone else planning their own upcoming trips (I highly recommend staying at the Hotel Prinzenpalais, which features street tracks right in front and a perfect view out the window of steam trains all day long).
