Before this degenerates too far, there is an historic structures assessment report about to be made on the engine house. This is the preliminary step necessary before the historical society can apply for money from the State Historical Fund. The building has numerous issues, starting with the foundation and going to the roof ridge. But the intention is to rework and restore the complete structure, except for the doors that were completed last year. And at the same time using it to store the 315 and do other activities in the structure.
There really isn't any other construction in the pictures--CDOT has a storage yard across the mainline next to the river, and there are large piles of stored gravel across from the depot.
