Sorry I missed the festivities. Where were you Eric Dowty? As a Knott's GT&C Alumni from 1978-1980 It was great working nights during the Summer months and and dreaming of actually being in Colorado on the locomotives. Unfortunately K-27 #464 could not be at Knott's for the Ceremony. I was asked by Mr. Amos Cordova in Durango to find out back then (1980) what condition 464 was in and sent much info to him for Charles Bradshaw before he purchased the Silverton Train as he was interested in bringing the locomotive back to Durango. Unfortunately, as we all know, the deal never happened. Wait,! I know where I was on January 12. I was running k-36 #480 on the Cascade Canyon Winter Train in Durango, Be careful what you wish for. Sometimes it comes true! Thank you Walter Knott for preserving the equipment!
