Precisely! Well, not too precise, really. Actually only about 1/6 as much gravity as
on earth, IIRC, hence reducing the engine's adhesion significantly. The WEIGHT
of the train would also be 1/6 as much as on earth, but the MASS of the train &
its cargo - and the energy needed to accelerate it (or decelerate it) would remain
the same, so without the rack & cog drive the engine would spin its wheels use-
