Prior to the "Rico" business car being available to the public, the Museum hosted a private event for members of the Rocky Mountain Railroad Club on Friday evening.
This was a nice acknowledgement of the Club's efforts to save and restore the car since acquiring it in 1952. This 1882 wooden specimen had endured a lot of weather by the time the Museum took ownership of it in 2006. They have done a fine job with the restoration as these and Al's photos show.
Thanks go to all involved with the recent CRRM work, and to Rocky Club members who worked on it for many years before that. I don't even know all of the names, but some those folks include Bob Tully, Denny Haefele, Roger Sherman, Bill Gould, Darrell Arndt, and so many more.
Dave Schaaf, current president of the Rocky Mountain Railroad Club, and a life member of the Colorado Railroad Museum.
