That was the Tucumcari-Memphis line. When the Cotton Belt picked up the Rock's southern transcon in circa. 1980 that line was abandoned. It joined the Dalhart line a few miles east of Tucumcari I believe.
The Cotton Belt and parent Southern Pacific is now part of the Big Yellow Borg.
