I'm going to ask, and it is not meant to be critical, as I appreciate ALL the effort that went into this week's events- and that includes the years of restoration and getting ready for this week.
My question- 168 always seems to be in the lead, vs 425. Is there a reason? Most of the photos I've seen from the era of 1880s to 1910 or so have the helper (usually a consolidation) in the lead, with the road engine (ten wheeler) behind.
Indeed, I've seen no pics from the era 425 would have been on the Rio Grande as 425 until the time K28s took over passenger service.
Again this is meant for my education, and not to be critical.
Sincerely,
John
