It's hard to tell from such photos who's working and who's just along for the ride. Here's one of Ernie's, from September 27, 1970:
And one showing passengers on the "Governors' Special" of October 4, 1970:

It's pretty obvious from the number of times I have credited Ernie for information and photographs over the past couple of years - and promoted his book - that I'm just trying to take credit myself. That's why, in fact, one of the first steps taken in setting up this event was on the last #315 excursion in September to offer Ernie a room at THE (Shamrock) HOTEL so that he (and hopefully Terry Ross) could give a presentation and slide show on the early history of the C&TS. Doubt me? Call Barbara Hogan at 1-575-756-2416.

Again, if anyone has any doubts as to who is trying to re-write history, please see [

That's a GREAT excuse for the absence of any of your aliases in the records

To which of several July 2 posts are you referring? So many posts under the pseudonym of John E. Bull have been refuted by knowledgeable others that - like the boy who cried wolf - he has completely lost any credibility on the NGDF, and should, IMHO, restrict himself to posting on 'that other site'.

Mr. Sperry has always given Ernest W. Robart full credit as the source of many photographs and much of the information that he has shared here. Russ has Ernie's permission to use his photos in any way that is of benefit to the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railway, as he is not yet retired and does not have as much free time as Russ to promote the railroad.
