Steve, your question to Dan on etching the windows reminded me of a very nice piece of glass some freinds etched for me many years ago. They were restoring a queen Anne style house and made quite a few etched paines themselves primarily for transom windows over doors which is what the one I have was made for. As I said they did the work themselves and it was labor intensive but not too demanding. They placed duct tape over the glass. Stenciled the deisgn on the duct tape, and then following the stencil lines, cut out the pattern to be etched with an exacto knife, peeling off the duct tape fragments to reveal the glass areas to be etched. They had a small sand blaster and homeshop size compressor, to do the etching, using silica sand. In order to make duplicates, if one made a reusable pattern for stenciling on the duct tape, it might go fairly quickly.
