Flat Cars Bound For Honduras

In 1947, after mainline operations ceased on the Sumpter Valley Ry., quite a bit of the equipment was sold south of the border. Earl Emlaw took this shot out of the railroad's second floor office window capturing a few of the 70 flat cars that were loaded on standard gauge flats ultimately bound for LaCeiba, Honduras. The scan is from the SVRR Archive.
