The C&N cabooses appear to sit much higher than the DSP&P way cars. It appears that the nderframe sits on top of the main sills. The C&N cabooses do not appear to have equalized wheels like the way cars (this was removed from the way cars around the time the cupolas were added). I think the C&N cabooses were a bit longer. They were listed at 23'2". I'm not at home now, so I can't check the C&S folio, but I think most of the C&S n.g. cabooses were closer to 20 feet long. The C&N cabooses (or at least one of them) also had tall, narrow cupolas without side windows, which are completely different than on the C&S. There is a photo at the COlorado RR Museum showing one without a cupola taken shortly before abandoment of the DB&W. I don't know whether the cupola was removed or if one caboose never had a cupola, and all of the photos show the other (I have never seen a photo where the car number was visible).
