Photographic print is marked 1942. I do not know who took the photo; the on-line auction seller did not respond to an after-purchase inquiry asking if he knew the name of the photographer or owner of the album this and other prints were from.

There appears to be a number of railfans who make the trek following the old railroad in Winter or Spring of 1942. There was a group of three out of Southern California and at least one individual from the Bay Area and maybe others. To many of these it was a last fling at railfaning before entering the military or the war effort.
