John Cole phoned Wednesday evening before the fire, and said he was picking up supplies
for the 'Spring Cleaning' of #489 so that she would be a Big Green Machine again.   IMHO,
anything that can be done to improve the public's perception of the C&TS - which includes
keeping ALL of the locomotives clean so that they look good on TV - is a positive thing.
Most of us can't directly help with repairs to the trestle, but we CAN help spread the good
word about our favorite railroad!
