As to the comments about the locomotive having started this fire; that would be possiable only if the locomotive were not turbocharged. IE a normally asperiated or roots blown engine. These would be older units for the most part. Turbocharged engines have a built in spark arrestor in the way the exaust is used to drive the turbo. However this does not rule out the theory of hot brake shoes and such.
