I saw the mention of the stolen ties, but thought it was another piece of railroad. I guess I just can't fathom someone stealing concrete ties....for what purpose!!??? Are they going to sell them back to the railroad or what?
Nathan B is the guy in the stocking hat. Remember this is winter in South Africa, the best time to shoot steam. My brother shot daily steam ops on this line in 1973 with American built 15CA class engines. Neat stuff!
The steam groups in SA have a hard enough time working with the government railroad on a regular basis, so this event sure is mess for them to deal with. Best of luck to all involved.
