In cross-referencing Google Earth with 'Tracking Ghost Railroads in Colorado' by Robert Ormes (7th edition, 1975) I get what you do -- not much aerial visibility of the old right-of-way.
From Chromo to Edith, the map in 'Ghost Railroads' shows CO 391/Edith Road atop the Rio Grande & Pagosa Springs RR ROW. South of Edith, the ROW follows the Navajo River west of CO Road 357, curves eastward and crosses 357 to enter Webb Canyon, then continues south - but east of 357 - to connect with the "D&RG" at Lumberton.
Sounds like a road trip to NM/CO is in order. Nothing like a little more railroad archaeology! :-)
