Re: Alder Gulch Tourist Line Questions

I worked up there last summer but I had to ask others for the car numbers/ MS 504 equals F&CC 522; MS 501 equals F&CC 638; MS 502 equals F&CC 627; and MS 505 equals F&CC 347.I gather all the F&CC cars were numbered in the 500 and 600 series so when the cars were repainted 40 or so years ago 347 should have been either 547 or 647 but we do not know which. The trucks acquired are for the UTLX tank cars which have Gramps trucks under them now, which will be moved to the Gramps cars being restored at Antonito by Friends with the Alder Gulch UTLX trucks being installed on their proper tank cars, at least that was my understanding at this time last year. I am going back in August.
